MOY RAN Scores Missing

Missing RAN scores for the MOY period? Accidentally retested RAN in Unlocked Mode?

There are a few reasons for missing/incomplete RAN scores as we transition from the BOY (Beginning of Year) to the MOY (Middle of Year) benchmark period:

The first instance of missing RAN scores happens when a student accidentally clicks on the RAN subtest (polar bear character) and quickly closes the subtest or does not complete the subtest. In this case, we see that the MOY RAN score is showing as "incomplete" (purple circle with a white X).

Incomplete RAN MOY

If we need an updated score, we can log the student into the screener again in Unlocked mode and complete the RAN subtest by simply clicking through the green arrows until we have reached the end of the subtest and receive the prize. At that point, we will be able to enter the original BOY RAN amount of time in seconds/number of errors by following the directions for the scenario listed blow.

The next instance happens when a student is retested in Unlocked mode and accidentally retakes the RAN subtest. In this case, the original BOY RAN score is present, but the MOY RAN score is now showing as "Needs Scoring" for MOY and EOY (dark blue circle with a white X).

Missing MOY RAN

If we want a new and updated RAN score, we can simply click on the RAN subtest name (Object RAN or Letter RAN) and enter the updated time (in seconds) and the number of errors for the MOY RAN subtest to populate the new score for MOY.

If we want to maintain the original RAN score that is listed for BOY, we need to copy the amount of time/number of errors from BOY and re-enter that same information for MOY. To view the BOY time/errors, simply click first on the BOY tab on the individual student page and then click on the underlined RAN subtest name (Object RAN or Letter RAN). Once we have the original BOY amount of time and number of errors, we can click on the MOY tab, click on the underlined RAN subtest name, and input the original amount of time and number of errors. Click "SAVE" to update the RAN score.
